If you are taking an ECAP course and/or earning transcripted credit make an appointment with an advisor at AACC to discuss transfer options

Seniors APPLY EARLY to College-The early bird gets the $$$ for scholarships and aid. October is usaully the first early action date, then November, check with individual schools. Deadlines are deadlines, turn your applications in early and check and re-check that all items have been submitted.

Once all applications have been submitted to colleges and rade schools, begin a scholarship search

Seniors- Apply for a pin with FAFSA

Seniors-When parents receive W-2's start your Free Application For Student Aide FAFSA-MD Deadline is March 1, but the earlier you complete the application the better.
Students planning on a 4 year/2 Year/or Technical School should fill out the FAFSA

Students looking at technical schools,and apprenticeship programs should make contact now with those orginizations.

December begins the "scholarship season" with the majority of local scholarships distributed to counseling offices check the Naviance scholarship tab at your home school and the Scholarship tab on this page.

Seniors considering the military should meet with a recruiter to discuss options. Meet with several branches before signing and bring your parent/guardian with you!

Make final decisions for college and technical schools

Seniors-Provide your financial award letters to your counselor for recording purposes.

Juniors check school websites for open houses. Plan to visit at least one large school, one mediam school and one small school, then narrow your list of schools you will apply to 5-6.
